Shopping Information

Shopping

  • Numbers are handed out for both the public sale & volunteer sale.  One number is given to one person.  You cannot get a number (or hold a space) for someone arriving later.  Once you have your number, you are welcome to wait in your car until a few minutes before your entry time.

  • During the public sale, shoppers are metered into the building.  The first 100 people in line are let in at 8 am.  Starting at 8:15 am, 25 people are let in every 5 minutes.  The line does move quickly and all shoppers who arrived by 8 am are usually in the building by 8:45 am.

  • At our sale you will find gently used children’s clothing (infant through young teen), toys, layette, strollers, large equipment, furniture, books, videos and maternity items.

  • The sale is organized into three major areas:

    • Clothing

    • Toys & Layette

    • Large Equipment

  • It is a good idea to bring a large shopping bag (a mesh bag works great) or tub to help you carry your items while you shop.

  • If you are bringing children with you while you shop, they must remain with you at ALL times.  Children are not allowed during the volunteer pre-sale.  The most successful shoppers usually leave their children at home (keep in mind the sale is hot & crowded).

  • Please do not allow children to play with consigned toys while you shop.  Also, make sure they do not open toys or remove consignor tags, even if you plan to purchase an item.  Your help in this area is greatly appreciated.

Early Shopping Passes

A limited number of early shopping passes are available for purchase (these have sold out at all previous sales, so purchase early!).  Passes are $20 each and allow one person to enter the sale at 7:30 am (30 minutes before the sale opens to the public).  Passes are first come, first serve and must be paid for in order to be held (passes are not guaranteed until payment is received).  Payment can be made by check or paypal.  There are no refunds for unused passes for any reason.  Children and spouses must have their own shopping pass.  If you prefer to pay for your pass via check over snail mail, email the Registration Coordinator to pay for your pass.  Or, payment can be made directly by paypal.

SOLD OUT!!!!!

Strollers

We do allow strollers at our sale, but keep in mind you will be MUCH happier without one.  The sale is a crowded place & it is very hard to maneuver a stroller around the sales floor.  But, we understand that sometimes it is just one parent, and the only way to shop is with the baby strapped into the seat.

Checking-Out

  • A 5% facility fee will be added onto all transactions at the sale (except Dollar Dash).

  • Only cash and checks are accepted at our sale.  If using checks, please bring multiple checks to pay for purchases.  A photo ID is required for all checks over $100.  Please be prepared to show identification at check-out.

  • There is a $25 fee for any check returned for insufficient funds.

  • All clothing, toys, and layette items will be purchased using the check-out in the gymnasium.  All large items will be purchased in the large equipment area.

  • No refunds, returns, or exchanges.  All sales are final at the sale. Be sure to look over your items carefully before you purchase it.  We cannot guarantee that videos, tapes, software or items requiring batteries are in working order.

    • If you are purchasing an expensive item, be sure to record the consignor's number from the item's tag.  If the item fails to perform as expected, you can contact the Consignment Coordinator to get that consignor's information and you may follow-up directly with the consignor.  It will be up to you and the consignor to work out a resolution.  Catholic Consignments will not be held liable for the item.

Volunteer Pre-Sale

  • Children are not allowed to enter the Volunteer Pre-Sale out of safety for them and fairness to other shoppers.  The only exception to this is nursing infants who can be held in a soft carrier.  If you arrive at the Volunteer Pre-Sale with children, you will be asked to wait for the public sale to begin.

  • Each volunteer will be allowed one space in line.  You cannot hold a space for another volunteer who is arriving later nor can you bring a guest with you to shop (this includes spouses).  If you would like to shop with a friend or spouse, have them contact us about volunteering.  We have many needs for volunteers.

Half-Price Sale

  • At 11 am, the sale will close for 30 minutes to prepare for the Half-Price Sale.  Shoppers will not be allowed into the sale at this time and all current shoppers must proceed to check-out.

  • Items may not be set aside during the regular sale for purchase at the Half-Price Sale.  Items will be placed on their appropriate racks during the preparation period.

  • From 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, all items will be sold for half-price, unless otherwise marked.

Dollar Dash Sale

  • At 1 pm, the sale will close for consolidation and consignor pick-up.  Shoppers will not be allowed into the sale at this time and all current shoppers must proceed to check-out.

  • At 3:30 pm, any item that is left will be sold during the dollar dash.  Clothing, small toys, etc. will be sold for $1 a piece.  Books and videos will be sold 4 for a $1.  Large equipment will be 75% off.  All money raised during this time will go directly to charity.
